Editorial standards
The rules this site is
written under.
Most publishers keep these internal. Mine work better in the open, because every one of them is checkable against the pages themselves.
I
Where the numbers come from
Every statistic I publish traces to the organization that produced it: the SEC, FINRA, the OCC, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, the index providers, or the study itself. I link the primary source and name the period the number covers, in the sentence or the caption. If I cannot trace a number to its origin, it does not appear, no matter how plausible it sounds.
II
Education, never advice
I explain how things work and what changes the answer. I do not tell you what to buy, when to sell, or whether an investment fits your life, because I do not know your life. Nothing here is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and every page stands on that line.
III
What I never publish
No income claims, mine or anyone's. No performance screenshots. No testimonials I cannot verify, and none that were paid for. No countdown timers or invented scarcity. No sponsored content. The one referral on this site is a savings-account referral link in a few money articles, disclosed in plain words in the same sentence it appears in, not in a footer; anything similar ever added will carry the same treatment.
IV
Honest odds, both sides
Anything I teach comes with its bill attached: the costs, the odds against, and the famous ways it fails. Where the honest answer is discouraging, the page says so. I would rather lose a reader to the truth than keep one with a story.
V
Corrections
When I get something wrong, I fix the page, and the page's updated date moves only when its content actually changed. If you catch an error, the contact page reaches me directly; corrections are a favor, not an insult.
VI
One author, named
Everything on this site is written and published by me, under my byline. There is no content team, no guest posts, and no ghostwritten filler. Who I am and what I have actually done is on the author page, in exactly as much detail as I can honestly claim.
Who writes this: the author page. The formal risk language: Disclaimer and Terms.
