Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
In short: I collect your email only if you give it to me, I use boring aggregate analytics with no tracking cookies, I never sell your data, and you can leave any time.
1. Who is responsible
This policy covers www.MattDanadel.com, operated by Matt Danadel ("I", "me"). It explains what personal information the site handles and the choices you have.
2. What I collect, and when
- Email address, when you request the free ebook and Starter Kit, subscribe to the newsletter, or purchase an ebook (the checkout platform passes me your order email so your purchase can be delivered and supported).
- Contact messages: if you use the contact form, I receive the name, email, subject, and message you type.
- Order information: purchases are processed by an independent commerce platform acting as merchant of record. I receive order details such as your email and the product bought. I never receive or store your card number.
- Aggregate analytics: the site uses privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics that show aggregate statistics only (page views, countries, referrers). It does not profile you, and I cannot identify you from it.
That's the complete list. No advertising trackers, no social pixels, no fingerprinting, no data brokers.
3. What I use it for
- Delivering what you asked for (the free materials, purchase support, replies to your messages).
- Sending the newsletter and occasional emails if you subscribed. Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe.
- Understanding, in aggregate, which pages are useful.
- Anti-piracy: purchased files may be digitally stamped with purchaser details to deter unauthorized redistribution.
4. Who else touches it
A small number of established service providers operate parts of this site on my behalf: website hosting and delivery, email list management and sending, and checkout and payment processing. Each processes personal information only as needed to provide its service, under its own security and privacy obligations. I do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and I do not share it except with these providers or where the law requires.
5. Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Essential cookies may be set by the checkout platform during a purchase on its pages; those are covered by that platform's own policy, linked at checkout.
6. How long I keep things
Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe (unsubscribing removes you from future sends; the platform may retain suppression records so you stay unsubscribed). Contact messages: as long as needed to handle the conversation. Order records: as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. I honor these requests regardless of where you live: use the contact page and I'll respond within 30 days. You will never be charged or penalized for exercising a privacy right.
8. Where the data lives
I operate from the United States, and the service providers store data in the United States or other countries where they operate. If you use the site from elsewhere, you consent to that transfer.
9. Children
The site is for adults and is not directed to children under 18. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data is handled entirely by the payment platform. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but the amount of personal data this site touches is deliberately minimal, which is the best security policy available.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the new version applies from posting. I will not quietly expand what is collected.
12. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: the contact page.
